This page details the various ways to obtain access to ECMWF forecast datasets and charts depending on who you are.

ECMWF members

National meteorological services NMHS of ECMWF Member and Co-operating States and their authorised users are granted full access to ECMWF products and services, and to list and download everything in the archive, including  special datasets, projects and research experiments.

WMO members

WMO members

WMO members outside the ECMWF Member and Co-operating States can access WMO products, some archive datasets (subject to terms and conditions), and some charts, free-of-charge.

More products and services are available with a licence for non-commercial use.

Commercial organisations can obtain a licence for commercial use of ECMWF forecast products and services.

You can explore the datasets that are made available under licence, including those in the operational archive, and buy an archive data licence to download data using the Web API services.

Researchers can obtain a licence for non-commercial use of real-time products to support research field experiments and verification comparison projects.

Satellite data providers in Member States can contact us to obtain real-time and archive products for use in their operational forecast system in exchange for real-time satellite observations.

Members of the general public that have a keen interest in meteorology can access WMO Essential products, browse and download the datasets that are made publicly available, and view our open charts online, free of charge (terms and conditions apply).
